How it works

Loreign is a map of the fan-made AUs in a fandom. I build it by hand. For now I’m the only one doing that. Nothing actually lives here. Each entry sends you to where the AU already is, and to whoever made it.

Where the entries come from

Everything here was already posted in public by its creator. Usually on a masterpost or in the AU tag. When I find one, I read it and write a short description so you can tell what it is. Then I link back to the creator and to where the works live. It’s slow and all by hand. I don’t scrape anything. No algorithm decides what gets in. It’s just me, one entry at a time.

What it won’t do

• It never hosts or re-uploads the work itself, every link goes to the source. The one thing it serves is the cover image, through Loreign so it loads reliably for everyone.
• It won’t list anything private. Only what’s already public. Nothing behind a login.
• A cover is the AU’s own image, the one it’s shown by. If someone other than the AU’s creator made it, it’s credited where I know who. If there isn’t one, you get a plain gradient.

If an AU is yours

You didn’t have to ask to be listed. So you’re never stuck being listed. Something wrong? A dead link? Want the page gone? Message me. I’ll fix it or take it down. There’s no account to make. The contact form reaches me directly, and I get to these fast.

It’s early and made by hand. Some things will be missing or a little off. If you spot one, I’d love to know. Thanks for being here. :)
